Garlic and Sesame Cauliflower

  • 1 head fresh cauliflower
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste


  1. In a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil.
  2. Meanwhile, trim cauliflower and break into flowerets. Rinse with cold water to remove any dirt.
  3. Blanch cauliflower in boiling water, then drain in a colander.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large, non-stick skillet; saute the garlic.
  5. Add cauliflower and sesame seeds to the garlic, and stir-fry for about one minute. Dust with paprika and freshly ground pepper before serving.
