Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons DAVIS Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup FLEISCHMANN'S Margarine, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • 15 drops yellow food coloring
  • 10 drops red food coloring
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
  • 1 (16-ounce) can prepared chocolate frosting
  • 2 (14-inch) shoestring black licorice, braided
  • Assorted Halloween candies, gummy candy, colored sprinkles

Directions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  2. With electric mixer, blend margarine and sugar until creamy. Blend in eggs and orange extract. Add yellow and red food coloring; blend on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Alternately add milk and flour mixture, blending until batter is smooth and silky, about 1 minute. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into greased 10-inch fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 50 minutes or until done. Let cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
  4. Place cake flat side up on serving platter. Frost top and sides with prepared frosting. Attach licorice to simulate pot handle. Decorate with assorted Halloween candies, gummy candy critters and colored sprinkles. Insert a colored spoon in center of cake.
