Combine bran and buttermilk in a bowl. Mix well; set aside for 15 minutes.
Combine flour and baking soda in a large bowl and stir to mix well. Add the bran mixture, honey and egg . Stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Fold in the dried fruit.
Coat muffin cups with Pam and fill 3/4 full. Bake at 350F for 16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from pans and serve warm or at room temperature.
