Focaccia Bread

This flat crusty bread is traditionally served warm and broken into pieces to eat. It's a great accompaniment to soups, salads and barbecue meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-oz.) package Krusteaz Country White Bread Machine Mix
  • 1/4 cup Dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Prepare dough using mix as directed by machine, adding onion, garlic powder, basil and oregano. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface and coat with one tablespoon olive oil. Let rest 10 minutes.
  2. Place on ungreased baking pan. Press into a 10-inch circle. Cover with cloth and let rise in a warm draft-free place 45 minutes or until double in size.
  3. Gently dock with rounded end of dowel or wooden spoon to make indentation 1-inch apart on surface of dough. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400°F 25-30 minutes.
